Decisal Ltd is a subsidiary of Biomex Epe and was founded by merging the decision support department of Biomex Epe and the the former airline schedule optimization department of Imperial College London.

Biomex Epe has been involved in the packaging industry since 1997, and especially in industrial optimization (logistics and warehousing). It provided software, consulting services, and produced customized solutions. Wishing to expand the range and impact of its optimization products, Biomex Epe invested in Research & Development in other fields.

As a result, in 2005 the department from Imperial College specializing in airline schedule optimization was involved in the expansion and research of future innovative products and services, for airlines

Since early 90's, the former Imperial College airline schedule optimization department was part of one of the leading research centres in the world, working in airline and network optimization. Some of its projects involved major European airlines.
